Peshawar: Pushtangi Spring, located in Rustam area of Mardan district has become a popular tourist destination due to its natural beauty, cool and clear water and lush green mountains.
Nestled at the foothills of green mountains, the spring becomes particularly attractive during the summer season. Hundreds of visitors from Rustam as well as Mardan, Swabi and Buner reportedly visit the site every day.
A visit to the site revealed that the clear, cool water of the spring and the scenic views of the surrounding mountains offer visitors an opportunity to enjoy nature and find peace in a tranquil environment.
Tourists said Pushtangi Spring is an ideal recreational spot for nature lovers, with its peaceful atmosphere and natural surroundings drawing visitors from across the region.
Local residents and tourists have urged the government to develop the spring as a formal tourist destination and provide basic facilities, including better roads, cleanliness, seating areas and drinking water.
They said that with proper attention from the government and relevant authorities, Pushtangi Spring could become an important tourism hub not only for Rustam but for the entire Mardan Division.
