Hyderabad: The Shaheed Benazirabad Police on the directions of SSP Shaheed Benazirabad Shabbir Ahmed Setharhave launched a major crackdown against drug dealers and recovered a large quantity of narcotics.
Following the special directives of SSP, law enforcement agencies have intensified efforts across the district to eliminate the menace of drugs.
In this connection, a well-organized operation was carried out in various areas of Nawabshah city under the supervision of SDPO City and ASP Madam Dur-e-Tabish.
According to police spokesperson, Police teams, led by ASP Dur-e-Tabish, conducted raids at entry and exit points of the city as well as other sensitive locations.
The operation covered areas including Qazi Ahmed Mor, Baghdadi Mosque and its surrounding localities, along with several other parts of the city.
As a result of successful operation, police recovered heavy quantity of narcotics from the hideouts of various drug dealers.
Several suspected individuals present at the scene were taken into custody for interrogation, while the recovered drugs were seized and cases are being registered at the relevant police stations.
Speaking on the occasion, ASP Dur-e-Tabish said that drug dealers are enemies of younger generation and no leniency would be shown towards them.
She said that, in line with the directives of SSP, this campaign would continue until the complete elimination of drug dealers from city. Meanwhile lists of suspected individuals are being prepared and additional raids are ongoing.
