SCCI, Wafaqi Mohtasib agreed to launch online Complaint Facilitation System


Peshawar: Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Wafaqi Mohtasib on Tuesday agreed to launch an Online Complaint Facilitation System to address the members’ grievances regarding various public and private sector institutions.



The initiative will provide traders and businesspeople across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with an easier, free-of-cost and lawyer-free channel for addressing their grievances directly.



The agreement was finalized during a meeting between SCCI Senior Vice President Muhammad Nadeem, Vice President Sabir Ahmad Bangash and Regional Head of Wafaqi Mohtasib Muhammad Qasim Jan here the chamber.



Members of the SCCI’s Executive Committee Ishfaq Ahmad, Aftab Iqbal, Secretary General Muqtasid Ahsan and other officials were also present during the meeting.



The delegation was apprised about the key role of the chamber and business, trade and economic growth and asked the Wafaqi Mohtasib to take further steps to address the genuine grievances of the business community regarding public and private sector organisations.



Senior office bearers while exchanging views on the occasion stated commercial and trade activities have adversely affected due to the prevailing scenario and urged the government institutions to ensure maximum facilitation to ease the difficulties of the business community.



Qasim Jan proposed the launching of a special online complaint facilitation system, through which SCCI would nominate a focal person to submit traders’ and business community complaints directly to the Wafaqi Mohtasib for resolution, preferably within 45-60 days, without unnecessary delays.



Senior official praised SCCI’s efforts to establish facilitation services for the business community and assured that the Wafaqi Mohtasib would also depute a representative at the SCCI Facilitation Desk.
