Faisalabad: City Police Officer (CPO) Tanveer Hussain ordered police officers to ensure prompt and transparent resolution of citizens’ complaints. Police spokesman said that the CPO conducted an open court in his office where a large number of citizens appeared and presented their complaints and grievances. The CPO personally listened to the complainants and issued directions to the concerned officers for immediate action on their applications. He directed the police officers to ensure that citizens’ complaints were resolved within the stipulated time without unnecessary delays.
Speaking on the occasion, the CPO said that provision of prompt, transparent and effective justice to the public was foremost priority of the police and every possible measure would be taken to provide relief to citizens at the earliest. He said that open court was aimed at providing citizens a direct forum to present their problems before senior police authorities.
