Sanghar: Local administration on Sunday finalised security and administrative arrangements for the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala during a high-level meeting chaired by Assistant Commissioner Tando Adam Hunain Tariq Shahani.
The meeting was attended by Mukhtiarkar Tando Adam Imam Din Larak, Chief Municipal Officer Malik Abdul Hameed, Taluka Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Ghulam Ali Samoon, Rais Habib Khan Mari, Qambar Ali Mari, Muhammad Boota of the Special Branch, Inspector Syed Abdul Hadi Shah and officials from other relevant departments.
Participants reviewed the routes of Chehlum processions, security deployment, traffic management, sanitation arrangements, emergency medical services and other administrative measures aimed at ensuring the peaceful observance of the occasion. Officials of the concerned departments were directed to complete all necessary arrangements well before the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Hunain Tariq Shahani said providing maximum facilities to mourners and maintaining law and order during the Chehlum were the district administration’s top priorities. He said foolproof security, effective traffic management, cleanliness and uninterrupted emergency healthcare services would be ensured throughout the religious observances.
He also directed all relevant departments to maintain close coordination and perform their responsibilities efficiently to ensure that the Chehlum processions and gatherings are conducted in a peaceful, safe and orderly manner.
