Islamabad: The Senate Secretariat has held another training session on the E-Office System as part of its ongoing digital transformation efforts, reaffirming its commitment to modernising parliamentary administration.
The IT Directorate organised the session, which officers and officials from all branches of the Secretariat attended.
The digital initiative is being implemented under the leadership of the Chairman of the Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, who has promoted the use of technology to make the Senate Secretariat more efficient, transparent, and paperless.
The E-Office System is replacing the traditional paper-based filing process with a secure digital platform. The move aims to improve governance and enhance public service delivery.
The training was conducted jointly by the IT Directorate and Muhammad Wajahat Saeed, Deputy Director of the National Information Technology Board (NITB).
The IT Directorate has led the implementation of the E-Office System in the Senate Secretariat, while NITB has provided technical expertise, system customisation, and practical training to support its smooth adoption.
The E-Office System is expected to speed up file processing, improve transparency and accountability, strengthen record management, reduce paper consumption, and save time and operational costs.
The Senate Secretariat said the initiative reflects its commitment to digital innovation, good governance, and environmentally sustainable administrative practices under the leadership of Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani.
