Mirpurkhas:Sindh Food Authority fined Rs 30,000 to private medical colleges canteens in Mirpurkhas here on Monday.
According to details, Sindh Food Control Authority Mirpurkhas Deputy Director Balveer Singh led a team and raided three canteens and two shops located on the premises of a private medical college.
The canteens were catering to the nutritional needs of the students, college staff and patients of the college but were sealed and fined Rs.30,000 due to poor sanitation, to prevent more people from falling ill.
Challan were also issued to the fined canteen owners to obtain licenses from the Sindh Food Authority.
