Rawalpindi:Suthra Punjab Agency(SPA) Rawalpindi has completed special cleaning arrangements in and around Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium ahead of the upcoming international cricket matches, including the Pakistan-Sri Lanka T20 series starting from October 9th.
Managing Director, SPA Rawalpindi Rana Sajid Safdar visited Glass Factory Road in Union Council 32 and reviewed cleaning and anti-smog measures.
On his directions, special teams and sanitation workers have been deployed for washing, sweeping and zero-waste operations along Stadium Road, Murree Road, Double Road and adjoining areas.
The workers will ensure that the stadium, Double Road and surrounding areas are made completely zero-waste before each match, while immediate cleaning operations will be carried out after matches to maintain cleanliness.
Similar arrangements will remain in place during the tri-nation ODI series involving Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka and the Pakistan-Sri Lanka Test match in Rawalpindi.
Meanwhile, the communication team of the agency conducted a cleanliness awareness campaign on Glass Factory Road, sensitising citizens and shopkeepers about anti-smog measures, cleanliness and proper waste disposal.
The Anti-Littering Squad was also continuing inspections across the city, identifying littering and violations and issuing warning notices to concerned persons to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
