Faisalabad: Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations),Imran Ahmed Malik on Sunday held an open court (Khuli Katchery) at his office and listened to citizens’ grievances firsthand.
He directed the relevant police officers to ensure disposal of complaints within the prescribed time-frame to provide prompt,transparent and effective justice.
A large number of citizens attended the open court and presented their complaints and policing-related issues directly before the SSP Operations.
After hearing each complaint individually,SSP Imran Malik issued instructions to the police officers to examine the cases on merit and resolve them within the stipulated period. All complaints should be addressed fairly,transparently and without unnecessary delay,he added.
Speaking on the occasion,SSP Operations said that providing prompt, transparent and effective justice is the foremost priority of Faisalabad Police.
He said that purpose of holding regular open courts was to ensure direct public access to senior police officers,facilitate timely redressal of grievances and strengthen public confidence in the policing system.
He said that injustice to any citizen would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
All officers had been directed to deal with public complaints strictly in accordance with the law and departmental procedures,he added.
He further said that Faisalabad Police was continuing to take every possible measure to improve public service delivery, resolve citizens’ issues efficiently and promote a people-friendly policing culture through accountability, accessibility and effective complaint management.
