Islamabad: Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Tuesday said that the government would provide all possible assistance to the families of those who lost their lives in the gas leakage incident.
Talking to media persons after visiting the affected families, he said that every possible effort would be made to compensate those who suffered losses in the incident.
Expressing solidarity with the affected families, the minister assured that the government would extend full support to them.
He clarified that the incident occurred due to a gas leak and not because of a cylinder explosion. As many as eight people lost their lives, while 12 others sustained injuries in the incident, he said.
He said that 10 of the injured had already been discharged after receiving medical treatment.
Dr. Tariq Fazal said that the Capital Development Authority was in action and that all-out efforts would be made to compensate the losses as soon as possible.
