Traffic police intensify vehicle checking in Astore, action taken against over 15 vehicles

Astore: On the directives of the District Police Officer, Astore, vehicle checking and a traffic awareness campaign are underway across the district to ensure compliance with traffic laws and reduce the risk of road accidents.



In this regard, the Traffic Police conducted checks and established checkpoints at various locations, with special focus on inspecting the rear lights of vehicles. During the operation, legal action was taken against more than 15 vehicles found with non-functional rear lights.



The Traffic Police directed drivers to ensure that all essential lights of their vehicles remain in proper working condition, particularly urging them to immediately repair defective rear lights. This is essential to help vehicles approaching from behind judge a safe distance, especially at night and during low-visibility conditions, thereby reducing the risk of accidents.



Police officials urged drivers to consider compliance with traffic laws their responsibility and regularly inspect all essential safety equipment and lights of their vehicles. The Traffic Police made it clear that legal action would continue to be taken without discrimination against violations of traffic laws.
