Attock: Two children were killed when a mound of soil collapsed while they were reportedly extracting earth in Sakka Abad village of Attock, Rescue 1122 officials said on Saturday.
According to Rescue 1122, 8-year-old Asher Ali, son of Atif Khan, and 5-year-old Naaleen Zahra, daughter of Sharafat Ali, were buried under the soil. Local residents rescued the children and shifted them to a hospital in a private vehicle.
Rescue 1122 teams received the children on the way to the hospital and provided them with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). They were later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Attock, where doctors pronounced both children dead.
