Two gangs busted in Rawalpindi, Four suspects arrested

Rawalpindi: Police have arrested four suspects belonging to two separate gangs allegedly involved in robberies, motorcycle theft and other street crimes and recovered five stolen motorcycles, cash, a mobile phone and illegal weapons during separate operations.



According to police spokesperson, the New Town Police arrested two members of a gang and recovered five stolen motorcycles, Rs19,200 in cash and weapons from their possession. Police said the arrested suspects had previously been declared proclaimed offenders (POs) in robbery cases and were wanted by law enforcement authorities.



In a separate operation, Westridge Police apprehended two members of another gang allegedly involved in robbery and theft cases. Police recovered Rs21,000 in stolen cash and a mobile phone from the suspects.



The spokesperson said the arrested suspects would be produced before the court with substantial evidence to ensure their prosecution in accordance with the law. Police added that operations against criminal elements involved in street crime and property offences would continue across the district.
