Sargodha: An Under-14 Sports Gala organized by the sports department as part of the Independence Day celebrations commenced at the Sports Gymnasium Sargodha. Competitions in various sports, including karate, taekwondo, wushu, badminton, skating and gymnastics, were being held as part of the gala, with young athletes participating enthusiastically.
At the inaugural ceremony, Divisional Sports Officer Rana Nadeem Anjum and District Sports Officer Saima Manzoor welcomed the participating athletes and encouraged them to demonstrate their abilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Sports Officer Rana Nadeem Anjum said providing better sporting opportunities to young people was among the top priorities of the Sports Department.
He said such competitions not only promoted healthy activities among children but also helped develop discipline, self-confidence and a competitive spirit. District Sports Officer Saima Manzoor said the Under-14 Sports Gala was organized to encourage children to take part in sports and provide them with opportunities to showcase their talents.
