DPO holds open court in Sillanwali


Sargodha: District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem on Tuesday held an open court at the SDPO Office Sillanwali to listen to the grievances and complaints of citizens.



According to a press release issued by DPO office, citizens from areas falling under Sillanwali and Shah Nikdar police stations attended the open court and apprised the DPO of their problems and complaints.



The DPO issued immediate directives for the resolution of the complaints received from the citizens. He also directed police officials to improve the quality of investigation at police stations and ensure that cases were disposed of on merit at the earliest.



The DPO also met complainants in several serious cases under investigation, including murder, attempted murder, robbery, theft, burglary and cattle theft. He directed the SDPO Sillanwali to ensure the timely and merit-based disposal of these cases.



Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem said the purpose of holding open courts in remote areas was to ensure the provision of justice to citizens at their doorstep. He said the grievances of citizens would be addressed in all circumstances and urged them to approach him without hesitation and inform him about their problems.



‘Provision of justice is our foremost responsibility, and Sargodha Police are making every effort to fulfill this responsibility, ‘ the DPO said.
