Peshawar: Residents of Dogdara in Upper Dir have established a unique museum featuring nearly 200-year-old artifacts and historical objects related to Pashtun civilization and culture.
According to the locals on Monday, the museum houses a collection of ancient and rare items, including traditional agricultural tools, weapons and military equipment, household objects and other historical artifacts that reflect the region’s traditional lifestyle and heritage.
Local residents said the museum was established to introduce younger generations to their culture, traditions and the way of life of their ancestors while preserving the area’s historical heritage.
Residents of Malik Khwar have invited tourists and history enthusiasts to visit the museum free of charge and explore the artifacts that offer a glimpse into the region’s past.
A visitor said seeing the ancient tools and artifacts provided an opportunity to learn about life in earlier times and the region’s traditional civilization.
The locals said they plan to expand the museum and preserve more historical artifacts from the surrounding areas in the future.
