Rawalpindi: WASA Murree, on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has been fully mobilized to provide relief to areas facing water shortage in district.
According to the district administration, clean drinking water is being supplied free of cost through tankers in different areas to ensure uninterrupted water availability for residents. Special WASA teams are actively engaged in the relief operation.
Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Sherazi is personally supervising the operation to ensure transparency and timely provision of relief to the affected people.
He said the initiative aimed to provide immediate relief to residents of the hilly areas facing difficulties due to shortage of drinking water. Uninterrupted water supply would be ensured in all affected and remote areas of Murree, while no negligence in the field would be tolerated.
The deputy commissioner urged citizens to avoid wastage of water and extend full cooperation to the field teams to help overcome the crisis.
Residents expressed satisfaction over the timely measures taken by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the district administration.
