Water flow normal in most rivers of Punjab


Lahore: The Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) on Monday said that the water flow in most of rivers of the province is normal, however, low level flood was recorded at Kalabagh in Indus River and Nala Pulkoo in Wazirabad.



According to the PDMA spokesperson, the flow of water in the river Chenab, Jhelum, Ravi and Sutlej is at normal level, while the water situation in the mountain ranges of Dera Ghazi Khan is also normal.



The spokesman said that there is a low-level flood in the Indus River at Kalabagh, where the inflow of water is 273, 000 cusecs while the outflow is 266, 000 cusecs.



Similarly, there is a low-level flood in Nala Pulkho of Wazirabad, where the flow of water is 3, 000 cusecs.



According to the PDMA, the fourth round of monsoon rains is likely to continue till August 5.
