Rawalpindi: The digitisation of land records in the Rawalpindi Division under the Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement (PULSE) Project is nearing completion, with 263 out of 266 villages officially notified as computerised.
A high-level review meeting, chaired by Commissioner Rawalpindi Engineer Ameer Khattak, on Wednesday, was informed of this significant progress.
The commissioner directed that the computerisation of land records for the remaining three villages be completed within the next two days.
The session, attended by senior officials including Director General of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Kinza Murtaza, Additional Commissioner of Coordination, and revenue officers, focused on the final stages of the PULSE Project, which aims to digitise urban and rural land records, implement Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping, and develop a modernised database.
During the meeting, Commissioner Khattak instructed the deputy commissioners to set weekly targets for completing pending tasks, emphasising the need for efficiency. He also urged revenue officers to visit field locations to address partition issues and resolve outstanding cases.
The commissioner further directed assistant deputy commissioners of revenue (ADCRs) to expedite the resolution of land disputes in various villages and take swift action on any unresolved matters. ‘A performance review meeting will be held every Friday to monitor the progress of revenue officers,’ Khattak added.
The meeting concluded with a renewed focus on completing the remaining tasks, maintaining high performance, and ensuring the full digitisation of land records across the Rawalpindi Division.
