ISLAMABAD: The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) stayed bullish on Tuesday and gained 572.72 points, with a positive change of 1.32 percent, closing at 43, 853.49 points against 43, 280.77 points on the last working day.
A total of 229, 378, 386 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 176, 913, 333 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs8.372 billion against Rs6.081 billion the previous day.
As many as 347 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 247 of them recorded gain and 82 sustained losses whereas the share price of 18 companies remained unchanged.
The three top trading companies were Telecard Limited XB with a volume of 27, 004, 500 shares and price per share of Rs14.70, TPL Properties with a volume of 15, 710, 000 and price per share of Rs37.68 and Treet Corporation with volume of 14, 764, 000 and price per share of Rs41.77.
Unilever Foods witnessed a maximum increase of Rs449.99 per share, closing at Rs19949.99 whereas the runner up was Rafhan Maize, the share prices of which climbed up by Rs291 to Rs9800.
Allawasaya Tex witnessed maximum decrease of Rs202.50 closing Rs2497.50 followed by Colgate Palm, the share price of which declined by Rs49.99 to close at Rs2450.
