Bahawalpur: Continuing drive against criminal elements, Bahawalpur Police have arrested 14 suspects in various operations conducted over the past 24 hours, recovering over 13 kilogram cannabis, liquor, narcotics, and illegal weapons from their possession.
According to a spokesman for Bahawalpur police, teams from Kotwali, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed, and City Hasilpur Police Stations arrested three suspects and recovered 70 liters of liquor during operations against the illegal sale of alcohol. In a separate crackdown on drug trafficking, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed and City Yazman Police Stations arrested five drug peddlers, recovering 13.16 kilograms of cannabis and 20 grams of crystal meth from their possession.
Meanwhile, police from Baghdad-ul-Jadeed, Abbas Nagar, and Musafirkhana Police Stations arrested six suspects for possessing illegal weapons. During the operations, police recovered four 30-bore pistols, one 32-bore revolver, and one 12-bore shotgun. Separate cases have been registered against all the arrested suspects, and further investigations are underway.
