2, 300 int’l driving permits, 2, 700 domiciles issued in one month at ICT Citizen Facilitation Centre


Islamabad: The Islamabad Citizen Facilitation Centre issued more than 2, 300 International Driving Permits, 2, 700 domiciles, and 809 character certificates during the last month, according to a briefing presented to Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon during his latest visit to the facility.



Officials also reported the issuance of 588 birth certificates and 812 Marriage Registration Certificates (MRCs) and Divorce Registration Certificates (DRCs), reflecting continued public use of the centre’s services.



In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Irfan Memon visited the Citizen Facilitation Centre to review its performance and assess the delivery of services to residents. During the visit, officials briefed him on operational statistics and ongoing efforts to improve service delivery.



According to the administration, the centre has been developed to provide a wide range of public services under one roof, allowing citizens to complete official documentation and verification processes at a single location.



The briefing highlighted that more than 2, 300 International Driving Permits were issued over the past month. In the same period, the centre processed and issued 2, 700 domicile certificates and 809 character certificates.



Officials further informed the deputy commissioner that 588 birth certificates were issued during the month, while 812 MRCs and DRCs were processed and delivered to applicants.



Performance data from the past week showed continued public engagement with the facility. During the week, the centre received 162 surety bond cases and handled 451 document attestation requests.



Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Irfan Memon said the Citizen Facilitation Centre is providing residents with multiple government services at one location, reducing the need to visit different offices for routine matters.



He said that service improvement remains a priority and that feedback received through the citizen complaint box is reviewed and acted upon on a daily basis. According to him, public feedback plays an important role in identifying areas where services can be strengthened.



The deputy commissioner also noted that the district administration is closely monitoring the centre’s performance through real-time data and regular reviews. He said continuous monitoring helps ensure timely processing of applications and supports efforts to maintain service standards.



The Islamabad district administration stated that the Citizen Facilitation Centre will continue to expand and improve services to meet the growing needs of residents seeking official documentation and public assistance.
