Sheikhupura: A woman and her two-year-old daughter were killed, while the child’s father was seriously injured after a tractor-trolley collided with a motorcycle near Kharianwala area on Faisalabad Road, the Rescue 1122 sources said on Thursday.

The Rescue 1122 team shifted the bodies as well as the injured man to a nearby hospital, they added.

The injured man was identified as Abdul Razzaq 30-year-old. The deceased were identified as Aniqa 28 years, and Um Habiba 2 years old. The police registered a case and started investigation.

Sialkot: A 50-year-old man died after receiving an electric shock when a live power wire fell into rainwater on Awaami Road near Daska Road in Sialkot on Saturday.

According to Rescue 1122, rescue teams rushed to the scene after receiving the emergency call. The power supply was disconnected after the relevant electricity authorities were informed to prevent any further accidents. The victim, identified as Saeed, son of Naimat Ali, was found dead at the scene. His body was shifted to THQ Hospital Daska for legal formalities.

Rescue 1122 advised the public to stay away from fallen electricity wires during rain and immediately inform Rescue 1122 and the concerned power authorities in case of any electrical emergency.

Sargodha: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) task teams on Wednesday nabbed 23 power pilferers from various areas of the city.

They were identified as—Kashif, Kaleem, Umar, Tajamal, Farhat, Furqan, Fahim, Nabeel, Nouman, Ali, Kamran, Sajjad, Waheedullah,Shafi Klyar,Abdullah,Wali Muhammad and others.

Further investigation was underway.

Gujrat: A man was killed and three others sustained injuries after a concrete roof collapsed during construction work near Khawas Pur Khushi Market on the outskirts of Lalamusa.

According to Rescue 1122 sources, the incident occurred when a prefabricated concrete roof collapsed during installation, trapping four workers under the debris.

The deceased was identified as Shah Zaman, 52, who was rescued in critical condition. Rescue personnel administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before shifting him to the Trauma Centre at Lalamusa Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The injured were identified as Adnan Ali, 32, Rab Shah, 26, and Zafar, 25.

Rescue teams retrieved all the victims from the debris and shifted the injured to the hospital for medical treatment.

Sargodha: Police arrested 43 outlaws, including 30 proclaimed offenders, across the district during the last 24 hours. Police said here on Thursday that the raiding teams of different police stations raided at various localities and nabbed 43 criminals. The accused were identified as–Aslam,Nouman,Sultan,Shamus,Shamsahir,Saqib,Hassan, Mehmood, Tipu, Taimoor, Majeed, Sarwar, Saqlain, Sibtain Khan, Anjum. They were wanted by police in several heinous cases including murder, attempt of murder, robberies, dacoities, cattle theft, motorcycle lifting and others. Police also recovered stolen motorcycles, cattle, heroin, opium, hashish, ice, and weapons from their possession.

Rawalpindi: No official cases of Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) have been reported across the region so far, but the livestock department remains fully equipped with vaccine stocks and operational protocols to handle any potential outbreak immediately.

Department of Livestock and Dairy Development Focal Person, Dr. Mad-e-ha Tariq elaborted that under the standard medical protocol, once a suspected case is confirmed by an official veterinary doctor, mobile veterinary dispensaries are dispatched to the location to secure diagnostic samples, followed by an immediate ring-vaccination drive covering a 400-animal radius around the affected site to halt transmission.

In a conversation with reporter here on Thursday, Dr. Mad-e-ha Tariq emphasized that public awareness campaigns continue throughout the year to educate livestock owners on bio-security and emergency management.

She advised farmers/ cattle owners to strictly isolate sick animals from the rest of the herd if any symptoms emerge, adding that the department actively utilizes farmer gatherings (Kisan Baithaks), radio shows, and print media to disseminate preventive guidelines.
