Faisalabad: Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry said that FDA recovery team recovered Rs.237 million dues related to illegal constructions in special enforcement campaign during the last fiscal year, reflecting 29 percent increase compared to the preceding financial year.

Chairing a meeting, he attributed this achievement to an effective recovery strategy, continuous field monitoring and the dedicated efforts of the concerned officers.

He reviewed the recovery performance for the last fiscal year and discussed the targets for the current financial year in detail.

He examined the sectional performance relating to dues recovery and directed the FDA officers to further improve revenue recovery.

He also emphasized the adoption of a comprehensive, effective, and coordinated strategy to enhance revenue generation during the current fiscal year, thereby strengthening the authority’s financial stability.

He said that the timely recovery of government dues is essential for the execution of development projects and the delivery of public services.

He urged all concerned officers to perform their duties with integrity, transparency, and professionalism, and to make every possible effort to achieve the recovery targets.

DG FDA further said that illegal constructions and violations of rules and regulations would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

He said that strict and impartial legal action would continue against defaulters who fail to pay outstanding dues in accordance with the law.

He directed that the recovery campaign should be monitored on a daily basis, comprehensive lists of major defaulters should be prepared, and effective legal proceedings should be initiated against them.

He also instructed each directorate to set clear performance targets and ensure their timely achievement.

Reaffirming his commitment, Muhammad Asif Chaudhary said that through improved financial discipline, enhanced revenue generation, and transparent administrative measures, the FDA would be transformed into a stronger, self-sustaining, and public-friendly institution.

Director Estate Management-I Junaid Hassan Manj, Director Town Planning-II Asma Mohsin, Director Estate Management-II Suhail Maqsood Pannu, Director Town Planning-I Afnan Saeed Sandhu, along with other relevant officers were also present in the meeting.

He says that the reconciliation was achieved under the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan, Ziauddin Ahmed, as part of ongoing initiatives to maintain law and order and promote the peaceful resolution of public disputes.

SHO Band Korai, along with respected community elders, played a key role in bringing the two sides to the negotiating table.

The dispute, which initially arose over a matter involving women, had escalated over time, creating serious tensions and bringing both sides close to violent confrontation.

Through a series of meetings and negotiations, the SHO and local elders successfully persuaded both parties to settle their differences amicably.

Following the agreement, representatives of both tribes reaffirmed their commitment to coexist peacefully, strengthen brotherhood, and respect the law.

Commending the successful reconciliation, DPO Ziauddin Ahmed praised the professional efforts of SHO Band Korai, his team, and the local elders.

He said that the peaceful resolution of disputes was the foundation of lasting peace and thanked the community elders for their valuable cooperation with the police.

Expressing dissatisfaction over negligence in the performance of duty, he ordered the suspension and close-line posting of a Station House Officer (SHO).

Addressing police officials, CPO Sukhera emphasized that officers and personnel entrusted with protecting the lives and property of citizens must perform their duties with vigilance and professionalism.

He warned that negligence or carelessness would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
