3-day youth program of BMUN launched to empower youth of Balochistan


Quetta: On the directive of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, a three-day youth program of Balochistan Model United Nation (BMUN) has been launched on Friday in collaboration with Balochistan Board of Investment (BBOIT) to empower youth of the province, highlight their leadership skills and align them with the requirements of the modern era.



The program is being organized at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS). It provides students with an opportunity to express their views, engage in dialogue and debates, and present suggestions to solve various important national and global issues.



Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of Balochistan Board of Investment Qaim Lashari said that youth are the future and most valuable asset of Balochistan.



He said that to meet the challenges of the present era, it is necessary to equip the youth with modern skills, positive thinking, leadership skills and business awareness saying that BBOIT would provide all possible support to convert the talents of the youth into economic opportunities.



‘Providing guidance and support to the youth to enter the business world, implement their ideas, take advantage of investment opportunities and utilize their talents is among the priorities of the Balochistan Investment Board’, he said.



Qaim Lashari said that programs like BMUN play an important role in developing leadership, research, dialogue, decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills among the youth.



He said that the provincial government under the leadership of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti is taking practical steps to make the youth effective partners in the development process.



He maintained that the Balochistan Investment Board would also continue its efforts to develop the entrepreneurial skills of the youth and make them economically independent.
