Chiniot: Under the vision of Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, practical steps are being taken by the police under the vision of ‘Drug-Free Punjab’.
A special campaign is underway against drug dealers across the district under the direction of DPO Dr. Naveed Atif.
According to police data, 52 drug dealers were arrested from different areas in July last year. 28. 8 kg of hashish, more than 11 kg of heroin and 534 liters of alcohol were recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects in various police stations across the district and the suspects have been sent to jail.
District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Naveed Atif said practical steps are being taken across the district to save the younger generation from the scourge of drugs.
He added that a special campaign against drug dealers is continuing, and by ensuring quality investigation of drug cases, the suspects are being brought to justice and punished.
