Peshawar: At least two policemen sustained injuries after an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded near a police mobile close to Pir Zakori Bridge here on Sunday, said initial police report. Police immediately shifted the injured cops to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Rescue 1122 Peshawar’s medical and emergency teams reached the scene soon after receiving the alert and launched rescue operations. Following the incident, police and law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and began collecting evidence.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the nature of the explosion and those responsible.
