Dera ismail khan: Assistant Commissioner Dr Muhammad Hamid Siddiq on Tuesday inspected the ongoing renovation work at Haqnawaz Park and directed the authorities to complete the remaining work promptly while improving facilities for visitors.
The inspection was carried out on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Hikmatullah Khan. During the visit, the assistant commissioner reviewed the park’s beautification, renovation work, maintenance and overall management.
Officials informed him that the renovation and construction of a walking track were in the final stages and would soon be completed for public use.
Reviewing the park’s lighting system, Dr Siddiq summoned officials of the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) and directed them to repair all non-functional lights without delay. The officials assured him that the work would be completed within two days.
The assistant commissioner also ordered a complete ban on the entry of rickshaws and motorcycles into the park to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for visitors.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the performance of the existing staff, he instructed the relevant authorities to replace them with efficient personnel to improve cleanliness, maintenance and administrative affairs.
He said the district administration would continue efforts to upgrade public recreational facilities, rehabilitate parks and enhance the urban environment for residents.
