Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir observed in Kohat Division


Kohat: People, civil society organization on Wednesday hold rallies, seminars and gatherings to mark the “Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir” expressing solidarity with the people of Indian occupied Kashmir.



Ceremonies would held in different areas of Kohat district including Karak, Hungu, Orakzai and Kurram calling for international attention to the deteriorating human rights situation.



The main event was held at the District Council Hall in Kohat that was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance) Syed Aamir Ali Shah, district officials, representatives of government departments, religious scholars, teachers, civil society members and students.



Speakers said that constitutional changes relating to Jammu and Kashmir were contrary to U.N. resolutions and international law. They said that Pakistan would continue extending political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people adding that a lasting settlement should be in line with U.N. resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.



Students from schools and colleges presented patriotic songs, speeches and tableaus depicting the struggle of Kashmiri and sacrifices. A solidarity walk was also held in support of Kashmir people.
