Lahore: Cases have been registered against suspects involved in harassment and assault of women and children in the Shahdara and Shad Bagh areas.
According to details, Shahdara police arrested a suspect and registered a case against him for committing an obscene act with an 11-year-old girl, the suspect, Raza, had attempted to assault the girl under the pretext of buying her a treat.
Shahdara police also registered a case against a suspect named Abdul Rehman for assaulting his wife, the suspect had gone to his in-laws’ house and subjected his wife to violence following a domestic dispute.
Similarly, in Shad Bagh, a suspect named Tauqeer was arrested for assaulting his sister after water spilled on accused. Furthermore, a case was registered against a suspect named Faizan for assaulting a woman and her brothers.
In another incident, a suspect named Mazhar was arrested for assaulting a woman who had intervened to rescue her husband during a fight. According to SP City Arshad Hayat, cases have been registered against the suspects, and investigations are being commenced.
