Awareness session held in Hala on postal ballot voting for persons with disabilities

Hyderabad: Under the auspices of the Election Commission of Pakistan, the Office of the District Election Commissioner Matiari organized a special awareness session in Hala regarding the procedure for casting votes through postal ballots for persons with disabilities and their participation in the electoral process.

District Election Commissioner Matiari Kunwar Shujaat Ali along with the Assistant Election Commissioner Matiari, participated in the session and provided the participants with detailed information about the importance of responsible voting in the democratic process.

During the session, the District Election Commissioner and Assistant Election Commissioner Matiari briefed the participants in detail about the complete procedure for obtaining a postal ballot paper, using it and casting their vote, so that every citizen could have the necessary facilities and information to exercise their democratic right to vote.

On the occasion, the participants took part in the session with great interest and enthusiasm and appreciated the measures being taken to ensure the participation of persons with disabilities in the electoral process. The awareness session also highlighted the importance of voting, civic responsibilities and the role of citizens in strengthening the democratic process.

The district administration and relevant departments appreciated such voter awareness activities and emphasized that such sessions should be organized regularly to educate all citizens, particularly persons with disabilities, about the electoral process and voting procedures.

The session concluded with a commitment to play a responsible role in making the country’s democratic process more inclusive, stronger and equal for all citizens.
