Peshawar: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Friday paid tribute to the security forces for eliminating 49 terrorists during successful intelligence-based operations carried out in different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
The Governor said the successful operations conducted in Bannu, North Waziristan, Orakzai and Khyber districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as Mastung, Mach, Khuzdar and Panjgur districts of Balochistan, were a matter of pride for the nation.
He said the security forces had effectively foiled the nefarious designs of terrorists through intelligence-based operations. The recovery of a large cache of arms, ammunition and explosive material reflected their professionalism and operational capability.
The Governor said the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in the fight against terrorism, adding that elements attempting to undermine the country’s peace and stability would be defeated at all costs.
Faisal Karim Kundi said the security forces were determined to eradicate terrorism from the country and the nation was proud of the courage and sacrifices of its brave personnel.
