Layyah: City police busted a gambling den at Jinnah Park and arrested seven gamblers in a raid led by Station House Office(SHO), Shahid Rizwan Mahota, here on Sunday.
According to police, teams acting on a tip-off, raided the spot and caught the accused red-handed while placing bets.
The arrested persons were identified as Muhammad Rashid Kashif, Muhammad Saqlain, Ghulam-ud-Din, Muhammad Waqas, Abdul Moeed, Sohrab Khan and Zain-ul-Abideen.
Police recovered cash amounting to Rs 35, 650 along with playing cards and seven mobile phones from the possession of the accused.
Further investigation was underway.
