Multan: A ceremony was held at the Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan regarding the Independence Day with Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zubair Iqbal, deans of various faculties, officers and employees. Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zubair Iqbal highlighted the significance of the Independence Day and said that freedom is a great blessing of Allah, The Almighty, which carried with it a collective national responsibility to protect and preserve it. He said Pakistan was the result of the tireless struggle, sacrifices and unwavering determination of the nation’s forefathers. He urged the younger generation to play its full role in the country’s development, prosperity and stability. During the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zubair Iqbal distributed Rolls of Honour among students who had demonstrated outstanding performance during the previous year. The ceremony concluded with a special prayer for development, prosperity and stability of Pakistan.
