Islamabad: A high-level Chinese business delegation led by President of the Dongguan Ganzhou Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Dongguan Chuanbo Metal Products Co. Liu Ying on Tuesday explored extensive opportunities for investment, joint ventures and industrial cooperation in Pakistan, particularly in manufacturing, infrastructure development, construction, new energy, advanced materials and export-oriented production.
During a business interaction hosted by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), a detailed presentation showcasing Dongguan Chuanbo Metal Products Co. was also played, highlighting the company’s business profile, products, manufacturing capabilities and potential areas for collaboration with Pakistani enterprises, said a news release.
The presentation provided the Pakistani business community with a closer insight into the company’s capabilities and prospects for market cooperation.
Speaking on the occasion, Liu Ying said the delegation had come to Pakistan with a strong interest in exploring practical business opportunities and developing long-term partnerships with Pakistani companies. He emphasized the importance of strengthening private-sector linkages and expressed the hope that the visit would lead to concrete cooperation in investment, joint ventures, manufacturing and technology-based partnerships.
The delegation represented a diverse range of Chinese businesses associated with metal and plastic products, construction, new energy, advanced materials, flooring solutions, packaging, international trade and investment, offering substantial scope for B2B cooperation.
The visiting companies expressed interest in exploring Pakistan’s market and using partnerships with local businesses to expand their regional footprint.
Sardar Tahir Mehmood, President ICCI, said the visit represented an opportunity to transform the traditional Pakistan-China friendship into a stronger partnership based on investment, manufacturing, technology transfer and joint value creation.
He said Pakistan offers a large market, a young population, entrepreneurial talent, strategic connectivity and immense opportunities in infrastructure, energy, manufacturing and technology.
He invited Chinese companies to invest, manufacture, establish joint ventures and develop supply chains in Pakistan, saying that cooperation should go beyond conventional trade.
He highlighted opportunities in infrastructure development, construction, renewable energy, industrial manufacturing, engineering, advanced materials, packaging and technology, adding that Chinese expertise and investment could help accelerate Pakistan’s industrial development while creating employment and export opportunities.
He said Chinese companies could use Pakistan as a platform to access regional markets, while Pakistani businesses could benefit from Chinese technology, capital, manufacturing expertise and global market networks.
The ICCI President assured the delegation that the Chamber and Pakistan’s business community were ready to facilitate B2B meetings, investment matchmaking, joint ventures, technology partnerships and market access.
‘Let us not merely trade with each other; let us build with each other, invest with each other, innovate with each other and grow together, ‘ he said, expressing confidence that the visit would open a new chapter of Pakistan-China industrial cooperation, investment and shared economic prosperity.
