Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Friday chaired a meeting regarding reforms in Balochistan Police, digitalization of various departments and effective use of modern technology.
In the meeting, Inspector General (IG) Police Balochistan Muhammad Tahir Khan and DIG Headquarters Hassan Asad Alvi gave a detailed briefing to the Chief Minister of Balochistan regarding 16 different digital apps and other digital initiatives activated by Balochistan Police.
The briefing was informed about the steps taken to connect various departments of the police with the digital system, develop the policing process on modern lines and provide effective and timely facilities to the citizens.
The functionality and practical usefulness of various digital apps were also reviewed during the meeting.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti also reviewed the practical demonstration of digital initiatives and obtained information from the concerned authorities regarding the facilities provided t
hrough various apps and their scope.
On this occasion, Provincial Home Minister Mir Zia Langove, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Home Muhammad Hamza Shafqat, Assistant to the Chief Minister Balochistan for Information and Political Affairs Shahid Rind and other concerned authorities participated.
The meeting also considered measures related to the promotion of modern technology in the Balochistan police system, effective use of digital facilities and making police services more modern, effective and people-friendly.
