Lahore: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi visited Data Darbar, the shrine of renowned Sufi saint Hazrat Ali Bin Usman Hajveri (RA), popularly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh, in Lahore on Friday and paid his respects.
Upon arrival, Administrator Auqaf Data Darbar Muhammad Ali Khan received the governor and briefed him in detail about the ongoing development and renovation work at the shrine.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi laid a wreath at the mausoleum, offered Fateha and distributed Langar (free meals) among devotees. He also visited various sections of the shrine, including the art gallery, where he was briefed about the historical photographs and the rich spiritual and cultural heritage associated with Data Darbar.
During his visit, a number of devotees met the governor and exchanged views with him. The devotees warmly welcomed Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, who expressed his deep respect and reverence for Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA), acknowledging the saint’s enduring spiritual and historical significance.
The governor, along with the devotees, prayed for the progress, prosperity and stability of Pakistan and lasting peace in the country.
Before departing, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi recorded his impressions in the visitors’ book, paying tribute to the revered Sufi saint and his lasting contribution to the spiritual heritage of the subcontinent.
