Sargodha: Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali met with a delegation of under-training Assistant Commissioners from the Civil Services Academy here on Friday to discuss field administration, governance and public service delivery.
Welcoming the probationary officers, the Commissioner highlighted that the post of Assistant Commissioner was pivotal for ensuring good governance as it involved direct interaction with the public.
He urged the officers to uphold the rule of law, merit and transparency while prioritizing public convenience in their official duties.
Hafiz Shaukat Ali stated that administrative officers must not only be well-versed in laws and regulations but also possess a deep understanding of ground realities and public grievances to ensure effective service delivery.
Sharing his professional experiences, the Commissioner briefed the delegation on various aspects of field work including revenue matters, price control mechanisms, anti-encroachment drives, sanitation and the maintenance of law and order.
During the interaction, the under-training officers sought guidance on various administrative challenges, to which the Commissioner responded by emphasizing that practical field experience was essential for refining the professional skills of an administrative officer.
