Livestock Dept reviews development projects, progeny testing programme in Faisalabad


Faisalabad: Director Planning and Evaluation, Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Dr Attya Bukhari has stressed the importance of effective communication in ensuring timely access to departmental services, government initiatives and farmer-friendly programmes.



She expressed these views during her visit to the Directorate of Livestock, Faisalabad Division, on Friday, where she chaired a meeting with Director Livestock Haider Ali Khan and Additional Director Livestock Dr Rubina Anjum.



The meeting reviewed the Annual Development Programme (ADP), Progeny Testing Programme, ongoing development schemes and overall departmental performance. The participants also discussed timely completion of development projects, transparent implementation, quality public services and media campaigns.



Media Focal Person Dr Rehana Kanwal briefed the meeting on the performance of the media cell, digital campaigns, public awareness programmes and publicity of various departmental activities.



Dr Attya Bukhari appreciated the performance of the media cell and said it was rendering valuable services by promoting public awareness about departmental initiatives and services.



Earlier, Dr Bukhari visited the Civil Veterinary Hospital, Faisalabad, where she inspected the modern operation theatre, veterinary X-ray facility, conference hall and ultrasound facility. She directed the officials to ensure the timely provision of quality and effective veterinary services to livestock farmers.



She also visited the Divisional Diagnostic Laboratory, Faisalabad, and inspected facilities for disease diagnosis, sample analysis and other laboratory services.



Later, she visited Civil Veterinary Hospital 243-RB, Jhok Kharlan, and Civil Veterinary Hospital 239-RB, Khanoana.



Dr Danish, Livestock Production Officer (LPO), Faisalabad, gave a comprehensive briefing on the Progeny Testing Programme.
