Commissioner orders strict monitoring of cleanliness operations


Sargodha: Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Friday directed the concerned authorities to ensure zero compromise on cleanliness standards across the division under the Suthra Punjab program.



Presiding over a high-level review meeting to assess the performance of the Suthra Punjab Agency and waste management systems, the Commissioner stressed the need for effective field monitoring and the timely redressal of public grievances.



The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner(DC) Sargodha, Managing Director (MD) of Suthra Punjab Agency, Director Local Government and other relevant officials to discuss urban and rural hygiene protocols.



During the session, the Commissioner reviewed the availability of machinery and staff, waste collection processes, and the overall cleanliness situation in major markets and residential neighborhoods.



DC Shaukat instructed that a strict schedule for waste disposal must be followed in all squares and streets, while all available vehicles and machinery should be utilized at full capacity to maintain the division’s sanitation.



He further emphasized that providing a clean environment was a fundamental right of citizens and the primary responsibility of the administration, urging all departments to work in a coordinated manner to ensure the success of the provincial initiative.
