Sargodha: Commissioner Hafiz Shoukat Ali, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry, on Tuesday conducted a detailed visit to the Safe City Authority Control Room to review security and surveillance arrangements for Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
According to the spokesperson for the Commissioner’s office here, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Shahzad Asif Khan and District Police Officer (DPO) Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem were also present during the visit.
The commissioner reviewed the control room’s modern monitoring system, CCTV camera network, live surveillance of processions and religious gatherings, traffic management measures, and emergency response arrangements.
On the occasion, the officials briefed him on the special security plan for Chehlum, monitoring of sensitive locations, and coordination among law enforcement and other government departments.
Directing all concerned departments to remain on high alert, Hafiz Shoukat Ali stressed the need for continuous monitoring of all processions and majalis and called for effective coordination among relevant institutions to ensure a prompt response to any emergency.
