Rawalpindi: City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera on Tuesday suspended a Sub-Inspector and issued him a charge sheet over a complaint alleging the registration of a false drug case against a citizen.
According to a police spokesman, the action was taken after complaints were received during an open court held in Kahuta. Sub-Inspector Abdul Qayyum was accused of registering a false drug case against a citizen.
The CPO also closed Kahuta Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Nadeem Altaf over poor performance.
Sukhera said there was no room for misuse of authority and that effective service delivery was the priority of Rawalpindi Police.
