Sialkot: Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Awais Mushtaq hosted trainee officers of the 54th Common Training Programme (CTP) and briefed them on the district’s historical significance, industrial importance, governance system and public service delivery.
According to a spokesperson for the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, the deputy commissioner highlighted Sialkot’s contribution to the national economy through its export-oriented industries and business activities. He also informed the officers about ongoing development projects, measures to improve public services and administrative reforms being implemented in the district.
He said the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was carrying out various development initiatives across the province. He also shared details of WASA Sialkot’s performance, improvements in the drainage system and cleanliness efforts under the “Suthra Punjab” programme.
Awais Mushtaq urged the trainee officers to uphold transparency, effective public service and administrative responsibility, emphasizing that the district administration’s foremost priority was to ensure timely resolution of public issues and the provision of quality services to citizens.
The trainee officers expressed keen interest in Sialkot’s administrative structure, industrial development and governance practices during the meeting.
