Quetta: A grand flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Deputy Commissioner Office Musakhel to mark Kashmir Exploitation Day (Youm-e-Istehsal) on occasion of August 5th.
Superintendent of Police (SP), a large number of district officers of various government departments, traders’ associations, civil society representatives, teachers, students and citizens attended the ceremony.
On this occasion, a colorful contingent of Musakhel Police saluted the national flag.
After the flag hoisting, a rally was taken out in Musakhel district under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razaq Khajak to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people and raise voice against Indian atrocities on the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day on August 5, in which SP Musakhel, district officers of all departments, government employees, political and social figures and citizens participated in large numbers.
The participants of the rally held the flags of Pakistan and Kashmir in their hands while they raised slogans in support of Kashmir and against Indian atrocities.
The rally started from the Deputy Commissioner Complex and ended after reaching the Deputy Commissioner Complex through various highways of the city.
On this occasion, the flags of Pakistan and Kashmir were also displayed on government buildings across the district, while the participants expressed their resolve that the Pakistani nation would continue to provide moral, political and diplomatic support to their Kashmiri brothers.
Addressing the rally participants, Deputy Commissioner Musakhel Abdul Razak Khajak as chief guest said that August 5, Kashmir Exploitation Day, is a day to shake the global conscience and express full solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir.
He said that this day reminds us of the breach of promise made to the Kashmiri people and the violation of their fundamental rights.
The DC said that in August, 5, 2019, by unilaterally revoking the special status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India not only violated the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people but also openly violated international agreements and UN resolutions.
He said that Kashmiri Muslims have been facing oppression, repression, violence, siege and serious human rights violations for the past several decades, but despite this, their morale has not been dampened and they are steadfast in achieving their right to self-determination.
Abdul Razak Khajak said that the struggle of the people of occupied Kashmir for freedom is a timeless story of sacrifices, determination and courage, saying that India could not suppress the voice of the Kashmiri people by force, the struggle of the Kashmiris is for a legitimate and principled cause, which no power in the world could be ended.
