Quetta: Former Deputy Attorney General Aminuddin Bazai Advocate on Wednesday said that force, coercion and restrictions could not shake the resolve and spirit of freedom of the Kashmiri people, and that despite the atrocities of Indian occupation forces, the people of Kashmir remain steadfast in their pursuit of their legitimate right to self-determination.
In his message on Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir (Kashmir Exploitation Day), he reaffirmed complete and unwavering solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir and paid tribute to their courage, steadfastness and just struggle for the right to self-determination.
He noted that seven years have passed since India’s illegal and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019, stating that India openly violated international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions, and that its illegal measures could not change the internationally recognized disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Bazai highlighted that Pakistan would continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people and would keep raising the voice of the oppressed Kashmiris on every international forum.
He stressed that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute must be in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
He further said that lasting peace in South Asia is not possible without a just and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue, and called on the international community, particularly the United Nations, to take immediate notice of the serious human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He concluded that the resilience, courage and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people serve as a source of inspiration for the entire Pakistani nation.
