Sukkur: Director General Health Sindh, Dr. Pervez Sheikh on Tuesday, paid a surprise visit to Sukkur and carried out emergency inspections of Taluka Hospitals in Rohri and Pano Aqil. He was accompanied by Director Health Sukkur, Dr. Farrukh Imtiaz Bhunbhro.
During the inspections, Dr. Sheikh reviewed healthcare facilities, availability of medicines, staff attendance, cleanliness and the quality of medical services being provided to patients. He also met patients and their attendants, listened to their complaints and directed the concerned Medical Superintendents to resolve their issues on priority.
At Taluka Hospital Rohri, Medical Superintendent and DHO Sukkur Dr. Ali Gul Shah briefed the DG Health on the hospital’s performance and available facilities. At Taluka Hospital Pano Aqil, Medical Superintendent Dr. Asif Sheikh gave a detailed briefing on medical services.
The DG Health directed hospital administrations to immediately activate biometric attendance systems to ensure staff presence and to further improve basic facilities, availability of medicines and standard of patient care.
