Chiniot: District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Naveed Atif on Saturday held an open court at his office and listened to citizens’ complaints, directing the concerned officers to ensure their timely redressal.
The DPO marked the applications submitted by citizens to the relevant officers and directed them to take prompt action. He also instructed Complaint Cell officials to regularly follow up on the applications and submit reports on progress.
Dr Naveed Atif said all possible measures were being taken to improve public service delivery in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He added that modern technology had been introduced at police stations across the district to facilitate citizens, while field officers had been directed to treat complainants courteously and resolve their issues without unnecessary delay.
The DPO warned that humiliating or mistreating any citizen at police offices or stations would not be tolerated. He urged citizens whose complaints remained unresolved at police stations to approach his office without hesitation, assuring them of redressal. He also highlighted a dedicated WhatsApp number, 0370-4022020, for submitting complaints from home and urged citizens to cooperate with police by reporting crimes in their areas to help ensure timely action against criminal elements.
