Dera ismail khan: District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ismail Khan, Ziauddin Ahmad, on Thursday visited the under-construction Khutti Check Post in the jurisdiction of Dera Town Police Station to review its construction progress and security arrangements.
The DPO was accompanied by SP Saddar Division Asif Mehmood and DSP Suburb Circle Muhammad Imran Kundi during the visit.
According to a police spokesman, the DPO inspected the ongoing construction work, deployment of police personnel and overall security measures at the check post. He directed officers and officials to further strengthen checking at entry and exit points, maintain strict surveillance on suspicious persons and vehicles, and remain vigilant while performing their duties.
Speaking on the occasion, the DPO said that ensuring the protection of the lives and property of citizens remained the foremost responsibility of the police. He appreciated the professionalism and commitment of the personnel and urged them to continue discharging their duties with greater dedication and alertness to maintain law and order in the district.
The visit was aimed at assessing operational preparedness and reinforcing security measures at the strategically important check post, the spokesman added.
