Gujrat: District Police Officer (DPO) Gujrat Akhtar Farooq visited the central Chehlum procession in Lalamusa to review security arrangements.
According to police sources, the DPO inspected the procession route and reviewed the overall security arrangements. He also briefed police officers and personnel deployed on duty, directing them to ensure foolproof security, effective monitoring and maximum public convenience throughout the procession.
The DPO stressed the need for vigilance and instructed the officers to perform their duties with professionalism to maintain law and order.
He said all available resources were being utilised to ensure the protection of the lives and property of mourners and maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
