Lahore: With the arrival of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, preparations for the celebration have reached their peak across the city, while markets are witnessing a noticeable increase in the purchase of green flags, badges, caps and other decorative items.
The city’s markets have taken on a festive atmosphere as citizens flock to the Urdu Bazaar to purchase small and large green flags, badges, caps and other items associated with Eid Milad-un-Nabi. Decorative materials are also being purchased to adorn homes, streets and markets.
Residents are making preparations to decorate their houses and neighbourhoods with green flags, lights and other ornaments, reflecting the religious spirit associated with the occasion. People from different walks of life are purchasing celebration-related items according to their means.
Shopkeepers said demand for green flags and other decorative items has increased significantly ahead of Eid Milad-un-Nabi. They expressed confidence that the occasion will be celebrated with religious fervour, devotion and respect.
